2019 Maureen Thomas Jordan Survivorship/Thrivership Spirit Award

In conjunction with the Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast Affiliate, we are proud to announce the Maureen Thomas Jordan Spirit of Survivorship/Thrivership award. This award will be presented to a survivor or thriver (one living with metastatic breast cancer) who exemplifies the “spirit of survivorship/thrivership”.

The award is given in memory of Maureen Thomas Jordan. Throughout her 9 ½ year battle with breast cancer, Maureen never lost her hope, courage, strength or faith. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.

If you would like to nominate a breast cancer survivor or thriver who represents the spirit of true survivorship/thrivership - someone who faces this disease with grace and courage, who provides service to breast cancer survivors/thrivers, and is an inspiration to others, please fill out and submit the form below by Sunday, November 17, 2019.

The award will be presented at Komen NCTC’s luncheon, “Finding Solutions Through Science, Scholars and Survivors”, on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at the Friday Center for Continuing Education in Chapel Hill, NC.
